You are allowed up to 10gals with NO approval needed from dispatch.

If more than 10gals, you must request an Authorization # prior to submitting trip paperwork to payroll.

Any out-of-network fuel over 10gals, with no approval from dispatch, will cause hotels not to be covered for that particular trip. (As Per Union Policy)

When dispatched, you receive a portion of the fuel you will be needing for your trip. Once you have started your trip and you are approximately 20% within your trip, you will receive a notification on your cell phone that will request for you to update your ECM (estimated consumption per mile. AKA: MPG). Find a safe place to stop and using truck features, look for the Average MPG. Open the notification received on your cell phone. Answer YES, enter ECM, and it will add the additional fuel that will be needed for your trip.
