Trip Planning

Once a load has been dispatched, use the tools provided to you to do a trip plan. You will want to look at the route you will be needing to take to get to your destination. Ensure you check the special instructions section on your delivery receipt or contact the customer to ensure you get the needed information for final delivery. Using your planned route and the Driver Lodging app, you will want to plan your hotel stays with enough time. Make sure you are carrying enough cash to pay for tolls that don’t accept credit cards. Driver Fuel app is also available if you need to plan your fuel stops.

For delivery, you will want to pre-plan how the undecking will be done. The Special Instruction section of the delivery receipts often tells you the undecking method used. If there is no information, you will want to call the customer to request that information.
